Tryin to be a loser.
Days 237-241.

Not having my laptop has made it hard for me to keep up with my blog!  We have a computer at home, but it’s slow and I’ve just gotten used to not using it much.

Thursday: 10 minute run, 10 minute walk.  It was SO hot out and running was just really hard.  I did go for a long walk at Lakeside, though!

Monday (today): 30 minutes total - 15 running, 5 walking, 10 running.

This weekend, I managed to not go too overboard and still had a few healthy meals.  I feel better when I eat healthy, so when I do eat something with a lot of sugar or starch, I just need to control my portions.  I’m moving more into a real-life routine of having one treat here and there, rather than eating a ton of bad stuff on the weekends.  If I spread it out more, I feel better!

Weight as of 5/25/12.

171.4

Lowest weight yet by .4!

Days 235 and 236.

Tuesday: Went for a 35-minute run/walk - 10 running, 5 walking, 10 running, 10 walking.  It was really hot out, so it was almost impossible to run longer than 10 minutes.

Wednesday: Went for a 30-minute run at night.  Thankfully, it was cool out and I felt really good.  I had two helpings of spaghetti at dinner, and I think it actually gave me a lot more energy to run.  Carbs are important if I want to keep running, and I defintiely haven’t been eating enough of those.  I’ll remember that in the future!

Days 231-234.

I did better this weekend!  I didn’t work out, but I did go for several long walks.

Today, I spent the entire day moving.  I went up and down the stairs a zillion times, and carried heavy stuff to the attic.  I was planning on working out today, but moving wore me out so much that I just needed to rest.  I think moving was a good amount of activity for the day, but I’ll make sure to do an actual workout tomorrow.

Weight as of 5/18/12.

171.8

YAY!  Back to my lowest weight! :)

Day 230.

CRAP.  I wasn’t able to get to the gym before it closed tonight, so I didn’t work out today. I was active most of the day because Kyle and I went to Inniswood and swam at the rec center, but I still really needed to do a real workout.

We had our voice studio party at Mrs. Barrett’s house, which is where I ate dinner.  She had healthy appetizers and then pizza - I had a lot of the fruits and veggies, and then had 4 very small pieces of cheese and mushroom pizza.  I didn’t have any dessert, which I was proud of myself for.

I am going to work out tomorrow to make up for not working out today.  I won’t always be able to work out the same days every week, so I need to accustom myself to varying my workout schedule.  As long as I do at least 5 workouts a week!

I am positive that I am still around the same weight as I have been the last couple weeks (175-178).  It’s so frustrating, because I had gotten down to 171.8 (or something) which is SO close to the 30 lb mark!  I just want to get back down to that weight and STAY THERE.  It’s almost like it was a fluke.

Oh well - the semester is over, and I will have so much more time to dedicate to my health!

Day 229.

Today was pretty good.  I’m DONE with exams, which is great news!  For my workout, I did 20 minutes on the treadmill (15 running, 5 incline), and arm exercises.  I increased the speed at some points while I was running so I could get a better workout.

Tomorrow I want to do a longer workout - 40 minutes would be good.

Day 228.

I did pretty well today.  I stuck to my diet, and had a fairly good workout: 20 minutes on the treadmill (10 running, 5 incline, 5 running) and 10 on the bike.  Running was hard again today…I don’t know if my body just needs more rest or if I need to work my way back up to harder workouts.  We’ll see how the rest of the week goes.

I’ve committed to drinking green tea every day during the week.  It’s supposed to aid weight loss, and it’s something that calms me and curbs my appetite late at night.

Days 223-227.

Finals have really been messing up my routine.  On Thursday, my body was just so tired that I decided not to work out.  It just seemed pointless because I felt like working out would make me feel worse.

I went for a 25 minute run yesterday (Sunday), but I ate like CRAP all weekend.  I really need to not do that.  Yes, the weekend is my time to eat things I enjoy, but that doesn’t mean I need to go all out and eat like a pig the whole time.  That’s exactly what I did this weekend, and now I feel gross.  I found myself eating things even when I was full.

Also, I think it’s important for me to remember that I can still make good decisions when I eat the things I want.  For instance, instead of eating delivered pizza, I could get a healthier frozen pizza from the store.  This would save me money, too.

For my workout today, I ran for 15 minutes on the treadmill, then did 10 minutes on the bike.  I increased the speed on the treadmill for some parts of the run, and kept a good speed/resistance on the bike.  However, I got a really bad headache while I was running and it was hard to push through.  I think all the crap I ate this weekend has something to do with that.

I need to make this a priority again.  I need to find the motivation that got me started.  I’ve lost a good amount, but I haven’t reached my goal.  I’m doing pretty well with a generally healthy lifestyle, but I need to do more than that to lose the rest of the weight.  I have to really push myself in workouts and be even more strict with my diet. In addition to that, I need to be more careful on the weekends.

I’ll be done with the semester soon.  After that, I will have so much more time to dedicate to losing weight.  I know I can do it!  I’ve gotten this far.

Days 221 and 222.

I’ve done pretty well the past two days.  Yesterday, I ran on the treadmill for 15 minutes and biked for 10, then did arm exercises.  Today, I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and abs.  Working out has been hard for me - my body is just really spent.  I also have been a little too lenient with my diet and had unnecessary snacks.  Snacks really aren’t a terrible thing, but I just feel like I’m not working as hard as I could.

No exceptions tomorrow.  All healthy food and a GOOD workout!  I’m hoping that I will be closer to my lowest weight on Friday.
